Fenstanton Village Hall Trust is in charge of building a new community hall. It received the proceeds from selling the old hall that was demolished years ago. In 2022, it received additional money from the Fenstanton Literary Institute sale. It owns a block of land with all the necessary services from the developers of the old Dairy Crest site, as per an agreement with Huntingdon District Council.
In addition, it has secured allocated grant funding from Cambridgeshire County Council, Huntingdon District Council and Fenstanton Parish Council.
Planning permission for a new hall was approved by Huntingdon District Council in summer 2025.
Construction started in September 2025.
The new hall is progressing ahead of schedule. Opening is anticipated in early July 2026.
