As a consequence, there is currently no mains electricity available, and the contractor will be unable to complete a final building regulations inspection, fire and safety tests, compliance checks and other requirements before the planned handover to Fenstanton Village Hall Trust this week.
As a result, we have to reluctantly cancel this Friday’s planned open morning.
This will be rearranged once we have a clear idea of a new handover date.

Progress on the new build
An issue with the connection of an electricity meter has pushed back our target opening date. As we get a confirmed date from EDF for the connection to go live, we will update the new opening date.
In the meantime, the outside is beginning to take shape. Turf has been laid (with a watering schedule in place!!) and shrubs are being planted.
Everything progressing well for an early July opening – flooring and carpet in, decoration almost complete. Waiting for services to be connected.
